Ideally you will be a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills. The ability to work without supervision is important however teamworking is also a major part of the job.

It is essential that you possess excellent written & verbal communication skills as well as being able to produce high standards of work with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.

You should be capable of forging good working relationships with external utility contacts and other relevant functions.

Full Job Description

We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to join their Commercial and Procurement team. This is a full-time position reporting to the Procurement Manager and is based in our head office. Ideally, we are looking for a highly capable individual with knowledge and/or experience within the procurement of utilities and contract management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the company s substantial utilities portfolio which includes liaising with utility providers, energy brokers, managed estate, tenanted and partnership outlets
  • Benchmarking and securing competitive utility contracts
  • Maintaining a database of the company s utilities
  • Working with consultative bodies on ways to conserve energy and subsequent roll-out of strategies within managed estate
  • Collate and document energy data for submission to government organisations
  • Manage ad hoc projects within the department
  • Liaise and work with internal departmental functions

Key Skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience in the procurement of utilities would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge and understanding of Dynamics Nav 365
  • Understanding of the tendering process or have the desire to learn
  • Able to self-manage projects with minimum supervision and using own initiative
  • Experience of maintaining records within databases and able to manipulate/reformat data within Excel spreadsheets
  • Well organised and excellent communicator both written and verbal
