Land Acquisition Surveyor Electric Vehicle, Lanarkshire, UK. Salary to 66,000 + 10% bonus + car allowance and benefits This is an exciting opportunity with a leading distributed energy and private networks business who finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial, public sector, and residential customers - providing them with a market leading project development service and certainty of operational performance and asset management. The role Due to the company s growing EV team, they are looking to hire someone with property acquisition experience, working in a fast-paced market to secure sites. Although not essential the preference is for someone who is based in the North of England. Job responsibilities As a Land Acquisition Surveyor, you ll proactively source new land opportunities and manage the project development from initial site identification through negotiation and agreement of commercial agreements (Heads of Terms, Option and Lease Agreements) Working closely with the Project Managers to ensure that electrical grid connection, site investigations are complete and planning applications are secured before progressing into construction You ll work with internal teams, analyse new & existing land opportunities, manage the development of multiple projects, be proactive in engaging with landlords & developers, and successfully complete lease agreements within tight timescales You ll engage directly with the landlords, developers & external property agents to secure prime sites Guiding projects through company s internal governance & approval processes coordinating their Commercial & Legal support teams in order to deliver on annual development target Essential requirements MRICS qualified, with experience within property acquisition or development Existing relationships with landlords/ developers, as well as a strong network of agency contacts. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and manage the expectations of a range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes negotiation & guidance through a range of commercial agreements to ensure information is presented accurately and effectively understood by the audience. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, thinking from both company & the Landlord s perspective to close deals efficiently. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, and with a willingness to learn additional technical aspects of the job.
