React Native Software Engineer - Mobile Apps

Location: Shoreditch, London, UK (3-5 days in-office working preferred)

Connectible is a well funded Web 3 startup, building a global community platform for all types of physical and digital collectable markets.

Connectible will be a mobile first platform. We intend Connectible to become the global market leader in the space where collectors can connect with other like-minded people anywhere in the world via sophisticated chat rooms, display their collections in static and interactive virtual galleries and buy, sell and trade their physical and digital collectables through a dedicated marketplace, so that all collecting activities can be done in one place.

Given our target audience, we expect Connectible to be a hybrid Web 2/ Web 3 platform that makes it easy for anyone to create decentralised communities around their interests and reward usage using tokens amongst other ideas.

About the Role

We are looking to hire a well rounded software engineer who has specialised in mobile application development and has commercial experience developing, releasing and supporting a React Native application.

One of the main goals of the company is to explore and create innovative and exciting new ways to view and manage galleries of physical and digital collections online. The successful applicant should therefore also have experience using animations to create compelling interactive experiences on mobile devices.

This role will be influential in driving the direction of the company alongside the founding team, starting from scratch by developing our MVP and iterating from there to Product Market Fit.

We are looking for someone who has a love of early stage startups, is genuinely enthusiastic about Web 3 and 3D technologies, who wants to be part of shaping the business.

What You Will Do

• Work closely with our founding team to shape the future of our product and technology to meet the company's business goals
• Be responsible for developing, releasing and managing the mobile app
• Solve complex problems and contribute to the platform development in any way possible
• Research and implement innovative new ways for people to display their physical and digital collections online
• Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well tested and easy to maintain

  The Skills You Will Need

  You will need a background in software engineering with a passion for crafting well-tested and maintainable software. You will also need to be self-motivated with a passion for designing and building solutions that cater to a wide user base. You should have experience working as part of an early stage, high-growth startup team.

  You'll also need

  • Excellent programming skills in multiple languages, preferably with TypeScript
  • In-depth knowledge of the React and React Native frameworks
  • 2+ years of recent commercial experience delivering a fully functioning mobile app
  • A good understanding of the Android and iOS platforms
  • Experience with GraphQL APIs
  • Experience using websockets to create dynamic applications
  • A detail focused work ethic
  • Enthusiastic about UX/ UI design driven platforms
  • Happy to work at the company's premises in Shoreditch, London

    The following skills are desirable, but not essential:

    • Experience doing some form of Web 3 development, even if this was not in a professional capacity
    • Knowledge of/ experience coding in Swift and Kotlin
    • Experience creating 3D interactive experiences using 3D development tools such as Unity Engine, Unreal Engine or similar
