DevOps Support Engineer
DevOps Roles location is Peterborough or London. £60-80k
This role is hybrid - average 2 days a week in the office.
Configure and maintain our Microsoft Azure landing zone, applications, and networking in an IaC environment
Monitor cloud platforms for failures and performance problems and resolve or escalate issues accordingly.
Respond to incidents logged in the Incident Management system and provide end users with a technical solution within Service Level Agreements.
Collaborate with delivery teams to verify and adapt new solutions for transition to operational support.
Automate deployment processes and improve reliability of systems
Be a champion for DevOps technical competence and support team learning
5+ years of experience in a similar SLA driven support role
Hands on experience with Terraform managed infrastructure on Azure
Strong experience of the Microsoft Azure platform and the Landing Zone pattern
High Proficiency with Powershell, bash, Python, YAML, HELM
Understanding of DevOps mindset, tools, and concepts
Solid understanding of Azure compute, storage, network, monitoring and backup technologies
Industry recognised qualifications in relevant areas of the Microsoft Azure Platform
Knowledge of Zero-Trust security concepts and best practice
Proven customer service skills
Experience in containers and managing Kubernetes environments
Good knowledge of Azure virtual networking and diagnostics
Experience of Git and the GitOps model
Understanding of cloud cost saving (Autoscaling, compute & storage optimisation)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of On-premise infrastructure in a Hybrid environment
ITIL Service Operations Framework (Incident, Change, Problem and Major Incident Management)
Collaborative team player
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Punctual and reliable
Positive, enthusiastic, and supportive individual
Ability to work under pressure
Proactively maintains and develops technical accreditations, knowledge, skills, and experience
Willingness to travel to clients UK based sites and data centres and operate outside of core hours as and when required
