User Trainer for the Care Coordination Solution (CCS), part of the Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients Programme (IECCPP)

The Care Coordination Solution (CCS) is an exciting new digital system which provides those responsible for scheduling, booking and delivering planned surgical patient care with visibility and transparency into their NHS Trust waitlist and theatre sessions.

It is a solution which provides a near Real Time view of their patient waiting list and digital diary, and enables consultants to have input into their lists where they would like to do so. It also enables consultants to re-prioritise patients, using rich, clean data to inform decision making in order to maximise theatre lists. With the extra digital support the CCS provides hospital admin staff, they can ensure every minute is used well.

In hospitals, theatre scheduling and prioritising patients on waiting lists is often a manual task with room for inefficiencies or errors. For example, NHS consultants might receive a weekly spreadsheet which contains their theatre list, and if anything changes or needs updating, this is not captured in statics spreadsheets.

The tool enables us to be digitally smarter, deliver more effectively and embrace innovation to achieve better outcomes. It necessitated greater digitisation and it completely changed the way we do our day to day jobs, and now we are a journey to embrace new systems in the NHS and improve patient outcomes - our trainers are integral to help us achieve this.

The CCS forms part of the Improving Elective Care Coordination for Patients Programme (IECCP), which is a high-profile, large scale system implementation and clinical transformational programme which will impact the way services are planned and delivered within Trusts.

Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, enthusiastic User Trainer to play a major role in transforming the way the NHS trusts handles its waiting lists. You will be working at the heart of the tool's adoption, collaborating with multidisciplinary Trust-based teams to deliver workplace training on the Trust Care Coordinated Solution, empowering users to embrace a tool which will ultimately prioritise backlogs to save lives.

User Trainer
Responsibilities Job Description
To be based within an NHS Trust to deliver training to clinical and nonclinical end users to enable the successful adoption of the CCS tool.

Engagement with end users
* To provide training to clinicians and non-clinicians (in patient facing roles) in Trusts by educating and delivering training on the CCS to groups and one-on-one sessions
* To be a champion and super user of the tool, being seen as a source of advice and knowledge on the use and application of the
CCS tool, contributing to project groups and forums and developing Trust-specific solutions as an SME
* To be responsible for the effective delivery of training by analysing and scoping issues, undertaking training needs assessments, identifying user and business requirements, and thus adapting the training offering and approach tailored to userspecific requirements
* To work with trusts against their delivery plans and to meet their implementation targets
* To support adoption of the tool by guiding users through the change process - from initial awareness and desire to use the tool, to providing the knowledge and skills to use the tool, to reinforcing the active use of the tool after implementation
* To monitor performance and regularly report upwards against plans, targets and priorities, escalating actions, risks and issues where appropriate
* To maintain an overall understanding of the strategic direction of training within the organisation and other relevant priorities
* To operate independently and autonomously, following the agreed workplan for your individual Trust(s), while working within a recognised national team structure where you contribute and feed in input to positively influence the direction of the programme

There is an expectation to be on site, nationwide, 3 days a week at least. There is capacity to work remotely for the remaining days, but any candidate must be self-reliant, self motivating and able to mange and maximise their working timetable.

Roles you will be working with:
* Trust-level Delivery Managers
* Regional-level Regional Support Managers and Regional Training Leads
* Clinical and non-clinical staff, including Consultants, schedulers, theatre booking teams, secretaries and other key individuals within a trust setting
* Head of Training

Skills Required
* Experience working in adult learning (Preferred)
* Evidence of working within professional multi-disciplinary team (Essential).
* Experience of training users in a digital system or data platform, especially in a healthcare or public sector environment (Preferred).
* Experience managing and engaging with stakeholders of various seniorities (Essential)
* Good understanding of digital systems and data platforms (Essential).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which can be tailored depending on audience (Essential).
* Knowledge of training techniques and delivery approaches (Preferred).
* Proven ability to effectively problem-solve (Essential).
* Experience scoping training requirements and conducting training needs assessments (Preferred)
* Experience of working within a change management/training setting. (Essential)
* Understanding of IG, Confidentiality and Data protection. (Essential)
* Experience at trust level within the NHS. (Essential)

Person Specification
* Must be agile and adaptable.
