Location Frisco, TX Corporate Headquarters Summary The role of the VP Sales will report to the EVP Sales and will champion/lead the sales process to new and existing customers and prospects utilizing their proven knowledge and experience to design and develop creative delivery solutions for local, regional and national customers. This roll will have access to a leading team of experts, utilizing the most advanced tools and technology, supporting customers looking for added efficiencies and advantages in their marketplace. Success in understanding the buying process for the purpose of selling final mile, middle mile, white glove delivery services for the 3PL industry is a must. Knowledge of the sales process and solutions to the Technology industry, Health Care products industry, restaurant/commercial supplies industry, and home and business delivery services is a plus. This role involves account management as well in building and maintaining strong customer relationships in a growing and exciting competitive market. Role you will play: Prospecting for new customers and/or new opportunities Leading and coordinating the sales process through to completion including the RFx process, pricing and contract management Connecting, identifying and building strong relationships with key executives and decision makers understanding needs and identifying potential solutions Creating and presenting solutions that address customer/prospect needs Understanding the customer/prospect buying process and meeting their expectations as you maneuver to a close Responsible for updating and communication of that process though the use of sales tools Maintaining relationships as they move through the implementation process ensuring customer expectations are being met maximizing the commitment and passion we have for our customers Staying proficient with market and industry trends, solutions and best practices to support customers and prospects Attending industry conferences Travel requirements may approximately run 25% Background Profile Bachelor s Degree or comparable experience 10 years of experience in logistics solutions Local and regional delivery solutions with value added services Same Day or Next Day delivery and fulfillment experience Strong analytical skills are required to translate given information into useful, quantifiable data, to create assumptions, and to work with incomplete information.
