DCS Corporation is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist to support the development of complex proposals in response to U.S. government solicitations. The successful candidate will be experienced across all phases of proposal development and will have the demonstrated ability to work in cross-organizational teams to produce high-quality solutions and highly rated proposals.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform detailed analysis of RFQ/RFP and develop proposal planning documentation including compliance matrices and schedules.
Support Proposal Manager and proposal teams in proposal planning including the development of proposal features, benefits, themes, etc.
Coordinate/provide editing, desktop publishing and production support for all volumes (to include cost and business volumes).
Establish and maintain document configuration control throughout proposal development.
Coordinate with proposal contributors throughout process to ensure deadlines are met.
Review proposals for compliance, ensuring that all RFP requirements are fully satisfied.
Coordinate production and submission of the final proposal.
Coordinate color review meetings as needed.
Assist with the development and maintenance of proposal management tools.
Establish/maintain proposal workspaces.
Some travel may be required (less than 10%).
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma or GED plus 13 years of experience, an Associate's Degree plus 7 years, a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years or Master's degree plus 4 years of experience is required.
At least 3 years of experience in proposal development.
Experience supporting technical/engineering proposals for DoD / federal customers strongly preferred.
Creative/critical thinking and ability to work independently and as part of a team to prepare winning proposals under tight schedule constraints.
Experience working in fast-paced IDIQ task order response environment.
Up-to-date knowledge of editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices.
Strong desktop publishing and editing skills.
Experience using Microsoft SharePoint for proposal development.
Knowledge of Shipley or similar proposal process methodology.
