The predominant responsibilities revolve around the sales process, which entails working in a consultative sale capacity to help our clients how our services can deliver superior value and building relationships with current and potential clients. The position duties listed below are provided to assist potential candidates in understanding the role, but may vary by level. The compensation structure consists of a modest base salary plus the opportunity to earn commission which is based on the profitability of actual sales results.
  • Contribute to SMT overall growth strategies with input as requested
  • Contribute to sales strategies to achieve profitable revenue growth in areas of responsibility
  • Identify potential new market segments, products and client opportunities
  • Identify specific sales targets, secure appointments, develop and deliver presentations, and build positive client relationships
  • Develop compelling proposals, with appropriate input/buy-in from all relevant internal departments integral to delivery of the service/product and appropriate pricing (Operations, Development, Creative). Lead client negotiations, consummating with contract signoff
  • Help identify opportunities to build client awareness of SMT and the company's products and services for SMT Marketing
  • Contribute content for SMT web and press releases for SMT Marketing
  • Regularly contact clients and monitor client satisfaction with SMT services. Recommend and help implement appropriate service improvements as well as explore needs for new services
  • Monitor and evaluate competition as well as industry trends, including behavioral, financial, technological, and demographic factors. Recommend SMT response strategies and tactics
