This program offers the intern the opportunity to become directly involved in the photography activities that are part of the daily operations of the Global Brand Creative department. We strive to make this a challenging and interesting experience for you and make every effort to tailor it to the specific skills and projects that you would like to pursue and build on. As an intern with Brand Creative you will: Assist with organizing and managing the UFC photo library. Work on captions, edits, and delivery of photos to Getty Images. Help caption,edit, and deliver photos to vendors, partners, and internal departments. Work with creative team to help fulfill photography needs. Assist with setting up photo shoots. Assist with maintaining database of photographers, both staff and freelance. Assist with other photography related aspects. We are seeking candidates that are: 1. Must be enrolled in relevant academic program. Candidates that have already graduated at the start of the internship are not eligible. 2. Familiarity with editing photos using common industry software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Photo Mechanic, etc. 3. Knowledge of photo manipulation and re-touching skills using Adobe Photoshop. Such skills include masking out backgrounds; white balance and color correction; removing blemishes, scars, bruises, cuts, and the like; and other types of creative manipulations. 4. Understanding of the process of ingesting, captioning, and transmitting photos on deadline. 5. Knowledge of photo editing techniques, including selecting appropriate images, proper cropping, exposure, and photo filters to best represent the imagery and properly tell the story. 6. Knowledge of photography, including the ability to shoot photos, as well as understanding exposure, composition, lighting techniques, and other fundamentals of photography. This is a paid internship, but does not provide housing, relocation or transportation assistance.
