About the position: As a member of the LeagueApps executive leadership team, the VP, Product will report directly to the CEO, manage our product and design team, and work closely with our close-knit team of developers. This position is responsible for all facets of the product strategy and roadmap. You will get the opportunity to play a key role in decisions that will shape and impact our product and business strategy while also defining, developing, and managing product resources both internally and externally. Most importantly, the VP, Product will set the standard for creating a customer centric culture for product quality that runs through every aspect of our team. Product Strategy & Management:
  • Collaborate with management to shape the product strategy and vision
  • Move quickly and are eager to help scale our company - working with business stakeholders, engineers and designers- Influence and define product management process for roadmap development and direction
  • Lead hiring efforts, provide mentorship and skills development for all PMs
  • Define and communicate a long-term vision for the platform informed by market analysis, feedback from teams, users and partners
  • Be data driven. Defining and tracking key product oriented KPIs to ensure we are operating efficiently and allocating resources accordingly.
  • Align engineers, designers, marketers and operational team members around measurable objectives that will support business goals.
  • Define new opportunities for the business based on robust quantitative and qualitative research
  • Be the voice of the customer by conducting ongoing user research, market research, and competitive analyses to inform new product direction and apply key insights to existing initiatives
  • Develop a deep understanding of users through interviews and primary research
  • Ensure we are tracking all necessary product, sales growth and user data
  • Manage and mentor the existing product team members and expand the team as needed- Assess the existing product
  • Drive innovation and act as a thought partner to management as we build the products driving scale in the business. Product Planning
  • Execute on the product vision by prioritizing and building features that influence high priority user-focused and commercial KPI's
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and with product design to deliver extraordinary user experiences
  • Collaborate with other teams to coordinate significant product and feature launches
  • Formulate practical and elegant solutions to the problems and opportunities that have been identified:
  • Establish context through data analysis and direct interaction with internal stakeholders
  • Consider a range of solutions, analytically comparing their pros and cons
  • Document options in clear, structured, and accessible formats
  • Explore initial concepts via wireframing, rapid prototyping, and similar techniques
  • Work iteratively with design and engineering to refine solutions, using rapid user testing and feedback cycles
  • Use analytics and other research tools to set product plans
  • Seamlessly translate customer needs and feedback from various stakeholders into a product plan. Requirements
  • 10+ years of direct experience in product management or software development - with a focus in modern SaaS or eCommerce at a top product organization
  • 5+ years experience managing product managers
  • Proven ability to define product vision by producing clear product requirements and user stories and experience implementing seamless and beautiful UX/UI
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced, iterative environment - agile product development process
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineers, dev teams, sales, and marketing* Bring in-depth experience defining Product, Partnerships, Pricing, and Packaging
  • Ability to understand web development technologies and frameworks; provide technical support as needed.
  • In-depth understanding of responsive design and usability limitations for the web and mobile platforms
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS, Apple iOS and Android platforms
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Principle, InVision
  • Communication, leadership, team building, and people skills
  • Understanding of how software products are built with the ability to hold your own in technical conversations
  • Technical and strategic - able to methodically balance trade-offs when building out a product roadmap
