The role

  • For a large commercial software company
  • You will be the go to person for all research execution in the UK market.
  • You will set the UK research priorities alongside the SMM - Strategy + Insight Lead through identifying the largest knowledge gaps and biggest business questions.
  • Be responsible for the inception, planning, and execution of research projects to understand attitudes, category drivers and barriers to help create target segments and differentiated value propositions for our products.
  • You'll effectively work across a number of different stakeholders across the marketing team
  • Uncover qualitative and quantitative insights and leverage customer deep empathy to drive decisions and influence customer and product experiences.
  • Grow the cross-functional team's research expertise and enhance the business' research toolkit with new methodologies to discover consumer insights.
  • Produce highly effective reports and presentations to influence marketing planning and executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, including 5 years of specific research roles (ideally with some tech industry experience but this is not absolutely essential)
  • Significant experience and evidence of turning research outcomes into actionable insights
  • good understanding of both GTM tactics and customer life cycle comms, leveraging different channels for audiences
  • Experience in building out customer segmentation and personas through partnering with the Audience Marketing Team.
  • Ability to identify new research methods in the market and share best practices with the SMM - Strategy + Insights.
  • Experience with a diverse range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies such as 1:1 interviews, focus groups, surveys, conjoint, segmentation, max diff, etc.
