My client who have been in existence for nearly a decade is an award winning Buckinghamshire based company who support their clients nationwide with their facilities management requirements. Offering everything from commercial window cleaning to grounds maintenance. Other services they offer include external cleaning services, estate cleaning and management, internal cleaning and trauma/biohazard cleaning.

I am currently working in partnership with them to find a facilities industry experienced Business Development Manager who will be working on two streams of income. Firstly new clients and business will be sought out through portals to tender for works with the likes of Local authorities, housing associations, educational establishments etc ideally within a radius of 50 miles. The aim is to quote for 12-15 tenders a year hopefully winning 4/5 a year. You will be working on a small number of tenders at anyone time and these will be reviewed regularly to ensure resources are utilised in the tenders most likely to be won. The second source of additional business will be responding to incoming requests from existing and new clients for additional and specialist works. You will visit sites to assess the works required and the price to charge. Full training and Support from MD and admin team support will be given to the role holder to assist them to learn about the sector and how to quote on projects.

Candidates should be professional individuals with character and also possess an excellent knowledge of the entire sales cycle from initial lead finding utilising portals through to tendering and closing the sale in the wider facilities management sector, have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They are looking for a candidate who is looking to join a company on a long term journey where they are looking at 20-30% growth p/a and who has come from a SME where they are sued to taking responsibility in a visible role. The role is office based so location wise candidates MUST be based within a daily commute of the High Wycombe area, although there will be plenty of travel to client sites therefore a UK driving licence is a must. The initial annual sales target, the basic salary and commission will be tailored to suit both parties.

Salary £35k-£40k, commission, car/allowance, IT equipment, NEST Pension and 28 days holiday initially which will rise with service.
