Ecommerce Operations Manager
We're a small company but we're growing quickly. I'm looking for someone who can help us manage the growth. The first thing is, we are passionate about the environment. We make and curate products that are energy / water / resources saving or avoid the use of chemicals or enable recycling, all that kind of thing. So you need to have a passion for the environment, a concern for all the doom that surrounds us and an optimism that we can help to make things better.
We're predominantly an online business. We've kind've worked things out as we've gone along. I need someone who can bring skills, experience and knowledge to our processes so we've got a good foundation from which to grow.
We manufacture our main products so the role would include keeping an overview of production, keeping an eye on the supply chain. Then you'd also need to be good at managing data, determining what our production rates are, consider how to make things more efficient, and forecast what we need in terms of resources to meet anticipated demand.
You'll need to be a problem solver at all levels.
You'll need to be a great communicator. You'll need to have authority and leadership qualities without being overbearing and annoying people too much. It's quite a challenging role but it's an interesting one and can potentially develop into a more senior role as the company grows.
Other qualities / skills / roles I'm looking for are:
Proven experience leading a team of people in an Ecommerce environment, Warehouse, logistics, retail or distribution.
Liaise effectively with all departments to make sure everything runs smoothly, efficiently and happily.
To establish high levels of health and safety across all departments, implementing health & safety procedures, including risk assessments and compliance.
Overall accountability for process design and continuous improvement to optimise workflow and revenue.
Processes for inbound stock and outbound stock, lead of processes for picking and packing customer orders and fulfilment processes.
Overall accountability for the security of colleagues, stock and equipment at the site.
Ensure all colleagues are fully inducted and trained to action their respective roles, plus implement training for career progression.
Ensure that the scheduling of colleagues is efficient.
Demonstrable experience of managing a warehouse, including leading people, and managing process, assets, and inventory. Experience in the logistics, distribution, and supply chain industry.
Demonstrable successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within a warehouse.
Experience of using ecommerce platforms.
Salary in the region of £40K depending on experience.
