Hays Technology are working in partnership with a well-known organisation in Birmingham City Centre to recruit a .NET Developer on a permanent basis.
The mixed discipline team of .NET developers, testers, designers and BI developers provide cloud-based software solutions for students and staff of the institution in the areas of web, mobile, integration and data. Highly dynamic, the team use Scrum with Agile Testing with cutting edge and cloud-based tooling to bring quality and value to a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
Our client is seeking an experienced Developer with proven track record in Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies. This organisation operates a combination of on-prem and cloud-based commercial line of business systems and in house developed web and mobile applications all sharing a common integration platform. Given the broad spectrum of solutions developed and supported we are looking for candidates who are centred around .NET and can turn their hand to a variety of solution types.
Experienced in agile development environments, you will become an integral part of a scrum team focussed on delivering quality solutions to the organisation at pace, working in Tandem with Architects, Developers, Testers and Operations in a highly collaborative build-test-ship partnership.

In order to apply, you must have the following skills & experience:
. C# w/.NET Framework 4.8/.NET Core 3.1 and onwards for general applications development
. Development with public cloud (such as AWS, Azure, GCP) PaaS services
. Development and integration of web APIs for web, mobile or App2App integration.
. Use of JSON, XML & CSV
. Working with source control such as Azure DevOps, SVN & Git
. Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
. Experience of TDD or BDD
Desirable (candidates may have a subset of the following based on experience/background):
. Azure development, PaaS services such as Web Apps, Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure SQL, etc
. SQL Server development for applications
. ASP.NET MVC with Razor
. Mobile application development, ideally with Xamarin although native frameworks also considered.
. An understanding and appreciation of SOA and microservices.
. Any experience of effective release management processes, ideally in Azure DevOps.
