As IT Manager you will be responsible for leading the ICT function for the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). The role also involves development of ICT systems and processes and managing the ICT procurement function for the organisation.

Michael Page are delighted to be partnering with a growing Multi-Academy Trust with the recruitment of a new IT Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the Director of Finance and Operations in providing accurate and timely ICT updates and reporting for the schools within the Trust.
  • Ensure the security of data and systems for staff and pupils, especially regarding GDPR, safeguarding and Data Protection.
  • Update of IT policies and procedures
  • Work with the Director of Finance and Operations to create and update a Trust IT and digital strategy and related implementation plan
  • Day to day management of the Trust's ICT systems, IT hardware and associated processes, with oversight from the Director of Finance and Operations, including undertaking ICT audits
  • Support teaching and support staff in their roles by ensuring a consistent and high-quality IT service, systems and hardware is available
  • Working in collaboration with schools on ICT provisions, including working within budgets for each school and managing IT budgets for the Trust
  • Overseeing the ICT function for all schools in the Trust
  • Reporting of ICT provision and advice to the Headteacher at each of the Trust's schools
  • Leading on procurement advice and systems for the Trust
  • Complete regular ICT audits
  • Working with external IT providers as required to deliver day to day services or projects to schools
  • Continuous development of ICT systems, data reporting, controls and procedures for the Trustto streamline operational processes for all staff working in the Trust


Key Skills:

  • Industry recognised qualification for Microsoft or equivalent, extensive technical experience in a range of hardware/software and LAN/WAN network.

  • Project management skills and demonstrable experience of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Have an awareness of the educational landscape and its implications and impact on the work of the wider Trust.
