Are you a supportive and respectful Sales Manager with experience in supporting a high performing Contact Centre operation?
Do you have pre-pandemic experience of managing a successful remote workforce?

On behalf of a market leading tour operator, we are recruiting a Sales Manager to join a highly dynamic, growing, and successful team. You will have strong background in the travel industry with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team within a fast-paced Contact Centre environment. You will take full day-to-day responsibility for managing a team of sales agents, including performance, training, development, and attendance. You will also be involved in recruitment and will come with experience managing a remote team (pre-pandemic).

Sales Team Managers Responsibilities:
Team Development – conduct weekly reviews with all team members; be a positive and supportive role model inspiring others to be the best they can be; identify areas for improvement and develop an appropriate action plan; review call evaluations while delivering regular feedback sessions.
People Management – align staff to company values and business goals by setting clear objectives; gather insight via the company’s engagement platform while being open to feedback for your own development; keep communication open and supportive tailoring your approach to individual styles; follow up on any shift/attendance concerns within the team; be aware of team performance and liaise with Coaches regarding areas of improvement; work with other leaders to create an inspirational environment using incentives and activities to motivate the team and maintain high moral.
Responsibility and Customer Satisfaction – be on hand to support the team with any escalated issues they are unable to manage, taking ownership when needed; use customer feedback to plan development for the team to prevent reoccurrences of customer dissatisfaction; be willing to cover a shift requirement in the case of an emergency; be aware of sales areas that require improvement and initiate plans to increase sales performance.
Resource Management – carefully track, analyse and report contact centre and agent performance; manage the rota and annual leave ensure correct staffing levels while taking into consideration training, meetings etc; identify weekly and monthly resourcing needs using historical data and make recommendations; monitor real time and service level expectations.
Expertise and Experience:
Minimum 4 years in a similar role.
Be able to demonstrate success in managing and developing a remote team.
Experience in recruiting, developing, and retraining a remote workforce.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisations skills.
Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and high computer literacy, being able to learn new systems quickly.
The successful Sales Team Manager will be expected to work onsite in London for the initial settling in phase. You can then move onto a hybrid basis reducing to one or two days in the office, or more if preferred. Shifts will fall between 9am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday, with a requirement of one in three Saturdays (from 10am – 4pm).
