Control Room Manager/Helpdesk Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Control Room Manager/Helpdesk Manager to join well established blue chip organisation based at their offices in Bristol.

As a Control Room Manager you will be responsible for supervising a busy CAT II Alarm Receiving Centre, managing the controllers and call handlers and liaising with other departments to ensure the operation runs smoothly. You will be on a 4 day daytime roster on a 12 hour shift.

Our client works with all aspects of security from CCTV alarms to a call desk working with all departments.

All aspects of the business are co-ordinated through the Control Room and the successful applicant MUST have experience working with all of these departments as well as ideallly a proven track record of managing alarms.

Working on the telephone, receiving calls from customers, installers and internal customers.

Prioritising jobs and dispatching resources to attend incidents throughout the local area and across the UK.

Working with other companies to ensure that all aspects of the job are completed efficiently whilst ensuring the customers and staff are kept safe.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, including preparing reports, control room staff training, and liaising with the HR and Accounts team to ensure the Control Room is running profitably and the staff are supervised in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Experience & Skills: Applicants should have the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience working as a Supervisor within a Control Room would be ideal but if you have worked in any type of control room/contact centre/helpdesk environment
would be of interest
* Knowledge or an interest in the sector industry where people and tech sit at the heart of it
* Able to build control room rotas with other department managers and supervise control room staff
* Superb telephone, administrative, organisational and IT skills
* Calm and professional approach
* Training experience of a team

Due to working requirements, candidates will need a valid driving licence and their own transport

Experience of updating company policies and processes
