Policy & Partnerships Officer (Work)
Posted on Feb 2, 2019 by Anonymous
We are looking to appoint a Policy and Partnerships Officer to join us to help deliver our vision of a prosperous UK without poverty!
You will work within the 'work and employers' area, developing credible policies and solutions which will have a real positive impact on solving poverty. You will work with colleagues across the organisation and help find and build exciting partnerships with others. You will support the development, piloting and testing of innovative approaches to policy and solutions to enable more people to find a route out of poverty through work.
Millions of people are locked in poverty in the UK. We don't believe that's right. That's why we've made it our mission to solve it. JRF's new strategy is to work alongside others to build public and political will for change and deliver solutions to poverty across the UK.
As the successful candidate, you will have a strong interest in labour markets and employment policy and practice, and knowledge of UK poverty and related policy areas. You will have a passion for what we do and experience of monitoring, evaluating and implementing change based on data and user evaluation and analysis.
Whilst knowledge of labour markets, employment and skills policy and/or influencing employer practice would be beneficial, it is not essential. An interest and understanding of poverty and of one or more of our core areas (work/social security/housing) is required, as is having the ability to quickly build up knowledge. A team player with excellent communication skills and strong political sensitivity, you will have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including people with experience of poverty and senior and influential individuals.
The successful candidate will work for an organisation who makes everyone feel able to be themselves at work, feel supported and enjoy a healthy work life balance. Offering an excellent staff benefits package and employer pension contribution, apply now.
Closing date for applications is Sunday 3rd March 2019
