A local housing association in Suffolk is looking for a Building Surveyor to join their Property Services team. The main responsibilities are:
To provide a comprehensive high quality maintenance and asset management service that ensures all stock owned and managed by the Association is managed to the highest possible standard.
To provide a high quality, customer focused repairs service.
Inspect and diagnose building defects, instigating repairs within authorised expenditure limits.
Ensure appropriate pre and post inspections are conducted and service users and other stakeholders are satisfied with the works carried out, keeping an accurate audit trail and provision of performance management information for KPI reporting to the Property Services Manager.
Manage void properties to ensure repairs are dealt with promptly and presented ready for letting.
The contract length is 3-6 months with a potential to be extended. The housing association is offering five days a week with 37 hours to be completed over these days. The role is outside IR35.
