Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments,and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.
$26.65-$33.50 per hour
Specific Job Related Duties
- Provide patient evaluation and treatments in speech, language, cognition and dysphagia employing techniques consistent with age specific concerns for adult and geriatric populations
- Plans, conducts, and follows rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication, speech, language, and swallowing disorders for inpatient adult population
- Documents findings, rehabilitative techniques, plan of care and patient progress
- Determine need for patient referral to specialist
This position is working 19 hours or less per week with no benefits.
English - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not required
Preferred Work Experience
Experience with adult acute care patients
