* To achieve KPIs, including sales targets
* Ensure a robust common system and process for the review of tender documentation to enable risk identification and recommendations to Bid Submission team prior to tender submission.
* Arrange for adequate support to attend appropriate pre order meetings.
* Review likely projected outcomes as required.
* Review of work of Estimators as required and align to business needs.
* Ensure direct reports performance reviews are conducted in line with company requirements.
* Provide management information as required.
* Develop a culture of integration, positive working relationships, continuous improvement and use of best practice.
* Be aware of and ensure that Health & Safety policies and practices are understood, implemented and enforced at all times.
* Manage direct reports effectively in order that business and customer targets are met.
* Identify development needs and ensure necessary training is provided where budget permits.
* Drive cross function training to enable flexibility and improve responsiveness.
* Engender a cross functional team spirit and "can do" attitude in the team.
* Encourage empowerment, commerciality and decision making. Promote a "work winning" culture.
* Actively performance manage direct reports and adhere to company performance management standards and procedures.
* Ensure appropriate cover during periods of annual leave.
* Manage attendance and absenteeism. Monitor trends. Identify issues. Take appropriate action where necessary.
* Have capability to deliver on business milestones
