NSL are part of Marston Holdings Ltd and are the largest provider of enforcement services to Local Authorities within the UK. We currently provide services for nine out of the ten Local Authorities in Greater Manchester.
We currently have vacancies for Civil Enforcement Officers (Traffic Wardens) to join our small friendly team who provide services on behalf of Bolton Council.
What you will be doing…
Your primary duty is to ensure parking regulations are upheld on the highway. The majority of your day will be spent patrolling a set beat to ensure no vehicles are parked in contravention and issuing tickets when necessary. Full all weather uniform including footwear is provided.
You will be in a highly identifiable uniform and as such will be the first point of contact for the public and will therefore be interacting with the public offering advice, information and guidance, which sometimes will be in demanding situations.
You will be required to work 42.50 hours per week, primarily Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays) between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00, however shifts can vary so flexibility for the role is essential.
You should enjoy being active and meeting new people as the role involves walking around 10 miles per day and meeting different people daily.
You should be able to work on your own initiative with little direct supervision, as the majority of your day will involve lone working.
Full training including conflict resolution training is provided.
