Head of Facilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Facilities to join a business to advise on the FM strategy for their entire UK estate and to implement this accordingly.
Our client is a blue chip business based out of Wiltshire. Full details will be disclosed to applicants meeting the skills criteria.
As Head of Facilities you will be tasked with undertaking a review of the entire UK estate to understand how FM is currently managed and to identify areas where some immediate and significant cost savings can be made.
Moving forward you will need to advise on and implement a more sustainable and economical FM strategy that the business can run with in the long term. This will include looking at the procurement of third party suppliers and looking at how PPM can be better managed across the estate.
Reporting into the Head of Estates you will also have direct contact and accountability at CFO level who will be looking for you to achieve financial savings by way of running a more effective and strategic FM programme.
This role is very autonomous and strategic and an example of this is how the estate is made up of a varierty of buildings and each type of building has different requirements so it's not a case of a one size fits all approach to the entire estate. You will need to determine how each part of the estate would be best ran and you will be supported in achieving your strategy.
The role will continue to evolve and the review that you will be tasked with undertaking could take close to 2 years to complete. At the end of your review you may decide that the best strategy moving forward would be to partner up with a service provider and if this is the case then of course you will be at the forefront of implementing and managing this change.
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of advising and implementing on an FM strategy across a large and diverse estate. This experience could be gained from within another client side role or from within a service provider role where maybe you have been an Account Manager or even Account Director.
In terms of personality our client is expecting the incoming Head of Facilities to have a level of gravitas that can influence senior stakeholders within the business. The role will be very busy and one that will come with high expectations so it's essential for the incoming Head of Facilities to have a calm and collected measure and approach to their work.
The role is based in Wiltshire and most of your working week will be based at Head Office in Wiltshire however there will be a requirement for you to travel to other parts of the business and this could be UK wide. Applicants are therefore expected to live in or around the Wiltshire region and have flexibility to travel UK wide as and when required to do so by the business.
A salary of £65,000 + car/car allowance + bonus is on offer.
