Simulation Engineer

Circa £35,000-£40,000+ Negotiable dependent on experience + bonus and benefits

Our client is a specialist in the field of Simulation and is a leading Global Engineering and Technology Services organisation: working with an impressive range of blue chip, global brand clients, they provide solutions consultancy services to their clients as testified by regular repeat business requests and personal recommendations. They focus on improving Production, Logistics and Manufacturing systems through applying Discrete Event Simulation expertise.

Due to an increased workload, they now seek an OR Simulation / Modelling / Engineer with experience in applying Discrete-Event-Simulation to analyse and improve customers' Operations. We would be very interested in hearing from individuals with the following experience and skills:

* Academic qualifications in a Numerical / Mathematical or Engineering / Scientific /Operational Research oriented subject

* 1-4 years'+ experience of working in an OR (Operational Research) or Data Analytical / modelling commercial role

* Experience of Discrete Event Simulation (for example: Witness, AnyLogic, Flexsim, Gensym, GoldSim, Arena, NetSim, ProModel, Simcad Pro, Simio, SIMUL8, JaamSim, Ptolemy II etc.)

* Knowledge of Software used in the DES field (for example: Java, Python, C++, R, JavaScript, MATLAB, Simulink etc.).

* Experience of manufacturing, plant operations and logistics businesses or a strong interest in these high tech, cutting edge fields.
