Lead Nurse - RGN / RMN - Birmingham - substance misuse / addictions - circa £32000 - £38000

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Linq Healthcare are recruiting a Lead Nurse for a community substance misuse service for individuals suffering from an addiction. The patients are aged 18+, and will have a drug or an alcohol addiction.

You will work alongside the Service Manager, leading the team of nurses. Your role will also include nurse supervision and some auditng etc.

Your role will include:

- ensuring that all pathways are in place for service users who require treament, and that all the clinical model is functioning, effective and in line with the company's and national guidelines

- Implemting and maintaining an immunistaion and vaccination scheme to help combat BBV and other inefectious diseases

- Ensuring all programmes, for example, immuistaion programmes, are adequatley staffed so that contractual requirements can be met at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have experience or be able to demonstrate an interest within substance misuse / addictions
  • Be able to work Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
  • Be quality driven
  • Have experience working with people from a range of backgrounds
  • Have had some experience working with individuals where you need to consider both their physical and mental health needs

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Being responsible for the standards of care delivered
  • Managing both the physical health and mental health aspects of each patient's care
  • Support patients through detox at home, in the community, or who have just completed an inpatient programme
  • BBV testing
  • Working with other organisations such as social services, probation service, shelters etc

Essentials

  • You must be a Registered nurse with an active NMC pin
  • You must be empathetic and understand the physical health, mental health and social circumstances of each patient
  • You must be able to work alone and as part of a time in a sometimes challenging environment
