Do you want to make a real impact on the health of Londoners?

About us

The London Association of Directors of Public Health represents Directors of Public Health across 33 local authorities. We collaborate, provide peer challenge and support, and advocate for public health priorities.

We work closely with our partners, including London Councils, Public Health England, NHS England, and the Greater London Authority.

About the role

This is an exciting role where you will be able to make a real difference.

You will work with Directors, their teams and partners across London to influence, develop, deliver and evaluate innovative projects. You will work across different portfolios, with an initial focus on child obesity, mental health, and health in all policies.

You will need to have exceptional partnership and project management skills. You will also be comfortable working with senior officers in a fast-paced environment.

About the team

You will join a small and friendly team, hosted by Haringey Council and offering plenty of peer-to-peer support. We are committed to our employees and offer many opportunities for professional development. This includes leadership training, shadowing and mentoring. You will be part of a wide professional network, across London and the UK.

You will get a local authority pension and a healthy work-life balance offering flexible working hours, work from home days, generous annual leave, and an interest free travel loan.

You will work flexibly across our two offices. The first is in Central London (SE1), with easy access to London Bridge and London Waterloo. The second office is in Wood Green (N22), close to the Piccadilly line.

Closing date: midnight, Wednesday 27 February

Interviews: week commencing 11 March
