In this role, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Manage a portfolio of online and face-to-face courses that will engage clinicians and other healthcare and child care professionals as laid out in the Education and Professional Development Strategy.
To plan, develop, and evaluate educational courses with relevant stakeholders including leading experts in paediatrics and child health. In particular the delivery of quality assured face-to-face courses but also online courses & resources.
To be responsible for ensuring the content, learning, teaching and assessment methods for the projects & products are fully scoped and well‑defined including viability of the course (and possible cancellations).
To ensure that course materials and other resources are available and accessible on Compass (RCPCH virtual learning environment).
To ensure effective management of budgets, with full compliance to College processes and procedures.
To take responsibility for the preparation of periodic reports, case studies, evaluation reports and all other documentation associated with the programme/project/product.
Your Skills and Knowledge
Organisation &/project management skills and experience evidenced by a recent and successful track record.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written for a wide range of stakeholders.
An understanding and interest in educational design and delivery principles that underpin adult education.
Good IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel etc) use of websites, learning platforms etc.
Demonstrates a real belief in customer service, focusing on what matters to the customer and will best serve their interests.
Takes ownership for resolving problems, demonstrating courage and resilience in dealing with difficult and time sensitive situations.
A clear understanding and ability to deal with information that is confidential and of a sensitive nature.
Experience/understanding of coordinating educational courses/events etc.
Understanding of budget management and of prioritising competing demands and giving attention to meeting deadlines.
Experience of collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to create, develop or deliver a distinct project, ideally an event or course.
Experience of contributing to monitoring and evaluation processes and using this data and own initiative to continuously develop and improve project outcomes.
