My Client is a leading Creative Communications/Marketing/Events Agency based in the Midlands and they are currently recruiting for a Technicial Warehouse/Video Technician. Due to the nature of the products within the warehouse and the requirements of this position, experience with AV / Audio Visual equipment is essential.

Technical Warehouse Operative / Video Technician

Purpose

* To maintain and prepare all video equipment to specification. To liaise and work closely with technicians and production managers to ensure all equipment is readily available when required and in excellent working order.

Principle Duties

* The preparation of equipment to specification, notifying relevant personnel of any area of concern.

* This includes the testing of equipment; cleaning of equipment; identifying faults; checking for equipment compatibility; looking for improvements/alternative solutions.

* To return video equipment to its designated storage area after returning from projects.

* Ensure all equipment is serviced at specified intervals.

* Oversee and maintain the video inventory on our asset management system

* To load and unload equipment for projects, various transportation and stores as required.

* Ensure all equipment, flight-cases and cables are labelled correctly.

* To collect and return equipment from suppliers as required.

* Keeping the technical warehouse and surrounding areas tidy and clean.

* To maintain a positive attitude towards Health & Safety and comply with the Group policies.

Technical Warehouse Operative / Video Technician

Essential Criteria

* Experienced in the maintenance and servicing of Audio Visual equipment i.e:

* Video switcher programming / setup / updating and networking experience

* Projection testing / servicing / line up and networking experience

* Experience of video signal distribution

* Flexible approach to working hours

* Excellent eye for detail

* The ability to inspire confidence in those they work with

* Resourcefulness and ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

* Approachable manner and ability to work under pressure

* Current full UK driving license

Desirable Criteria

* Fork lift truck license

* Experience of computer ghosting

* Experience of rigging systems
