The role of the Technical Sales Engineer will be as follows:
Reporting to the MD, your role will be home based 1 day per week and 4 days field-based visiting customers face to face.
A new business development role where 50% of your time will be contacting the existing client base to obtain new business and the remaining 50% targeting brand new clients.
You will be selling a range of process/rotating equipment into the Food, Beverage, Distilleries, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Process.
Selling a range of rotating equipment (pumps) and sophisticated digitalised systems related to Industry 4.0.
To work closely with Internal Engineering Teams who will formulate bids and quotations.
Sales of additional services including spare parts, retrofits and upgrades within an existing install base.
Trouble-shooting and technical & commercial support. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Price & contract negotiation and to close out all sales.
Experience & background required for the role of Technical Sales Engineer:
A proven track record in selling mechanical or rotating process related products, equipment or systems.
You must have a proven track record selling into either the Food, Beverage, Distilleries, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Process market sector.
Minimum HNC / HND or degree in mechanical engineering is highly desirable.
You must be a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You must also demonstrate excellent relationship building skills with a passion for new business sales.
Extensive training programme to ensure you become an Industry 4.0 Market Specialist.
You will set, manage and execute the sales strategy related to Industry 4.0.
My client is an established manufacturer of pump-based systems with a global presence in over 25 countries worldwide. The UK based operation generates in the region of £15m annual sales, with a strategic plan to organically grow by £5m over the next five years.
