Training and Competence Manager - Financial Services

Purpose of role;

To assist the Head of Compliance in ensuring staff competency through appropriate training.

Duties:

* Oversee and manage the Training and Competence Team
* Ensure staff are provided with training for new compliance policies and procedures
* Set and monitor training and competence standards/schemes across the company for different role profiles
* Oversee Approved Persons training & competence including the introduction of the Senior Management & Certification Regime
* Assist the Head of Compliance with any projects or tasks
* Produce a monthly report for the Head of Compliance

Experience

The ideal candidate will have/be:

(Essential)

* Knowledge of the relevant regulations and legislation
* Previous experience in a financial services firm or training & competence role
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Effective organisation and time management
* The ability to interpret and analyse information
* Good research skills

(Desirable)

* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (Law or Business)
* Level 4 Financial Adviser Diploma Qualified (or working towards this)
* Previous experience in compliance management
