Data Scientist

As a part of Industry Transformation Group, the associate will be engaging with the customers in driving Analytics engagements for Digital Transformation.

This will include identifying the need and articulating the value of data and analytics for specific business areas of key manufacturing and utilities customers.

As a data scientist, the associate will build models and perform analysis with advanced analytics techniques

  • Draw insights from large or complex data sets, and build platforms for others to analyze data sets
  • Play a crucial in designing, building, and implementing analytical solutions, acting as a Data Science & Advanced Analytics expert and lead.
  • Help identify analytical use cases, outlay analysis trail and drive improvements by investigating various topics and sharing insights to a broader audience
  • Interact with the business and IT to understand all data requirements and translate them into data structures and data model requirements
  • Execute proof of concepts and implement advanced analytics projects in Agile methodology for deriving business insights with measurable success in the Manufacturing and Utilities value chain.
  • Create Solution approach for innovative scenarios, define hypothesis and identify the analysis trail for the given business problem
  • Define criteria for monitoring integrity of Datamodelling during sprints
  • Drive Datamodelling and testing during sprints
  • Carry out quality assurance of analytics tools & methods used in sprints
  • Apply strong expertise in machine-learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build next-generation analytics products
  • Develop best practices for analytics (models, standards, tools)
  • Track impact of analytics on business
  • Work with senior IT and Business leaders providing technical guidance related to data architecture, data models and meta-data management
  • Liaise with Research & Innovation for adoption of key research items in the areas of ML, AI, Cognitive, and Deep Learning
  • Experience using analytical tools and languages such as Python, R, Java, C, C++, C#, Matlab, Apache, Pig, Spotfire, Micro S, SAP HANA, SQL-like languages, Graph Technologies (TigerGraph, Neo4j)
  • Experience in working on cloud platforms like GCP or Azure or AWS
  • Experience working with large data sets, simulation/optimisation and distributed computing tools (eg, Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, ...)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce Einstein is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology, MLOps, DataOps, DevOps, Design/Data Thinking is highly valued
  • Knowledge of industry and ability to translate business needs into data
  • Experience using open-source libraries
  • 8+ years' experience in a statistical and/or data science role
  • Expertise in advanced analytical techniques such as descriptive statistical modelling and algorithms, machine learning algorithms, optimization, data visualisation, pattern recognition, cluster analysis and segmentation analysis
  • Experience with manufacturing data sets from ERP, CRM, PLM, MES
