HR Manager: A highly organised CIPD qualified HR Manager with generalist, multi-site experience is required to manage the HR and Talent Acquisition function for a leading UK Electrical Wholesale Distributor.

The successful HR Manager will join an established electrical wholesaler with 34 branches, 320 employees and 17,000 product lines across electrical cabling, wiring accessories, lighting, heating and security equipment.

Based in Crawley at the company's head office this is an exciting challenge for a talented individual who would like to join a unique business. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice to Branch Managers on all employee related matters including investigatory, disciplinary and grievance meetings, performance and capability, absence, recruitment and selection and contractual issues.

Responsibilities:
•Manage the recruitment process from placing adverts to ensuring vacancies are filled appropriately in a timely manner and that all relevant paperwork including references and contracts are processed
•Attend disciplinary/grievance hearings or arrange HR support for minute taking etc for area managers conducting hearings
•Develop and update policies/procedures to compliance with employment legislation and best practice, include necessary amendments to the Staff Handbook
•Maintain and update where necessary all employee records
•Improve capability; assist in the training of the branch managers, address poor performance, manage probationary reviews and annual appraisals
•Source training for managers/staff when necessary
•Liaise with Directors regarding salary structure to ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Skills and Experience:
•CIPD qualification required
•Proven experience of delivering in an HR advisory role gained within a multi-site organisation
•A good understanding of employment law and significant practical experience of resolving complex employee relations issues
•Previous recruitment and selection experience
•Experience of providing training and coaching to managers
•Ability to communicate with and show empathy towards all employees, possess a welcoming personality
