Salary £23,264 per annum
6 month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week
This is an exciting time to join our client and their Independent Living Team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing to a high standard housing management activity for Independent Living schemes. You will need to liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure appropriate, coordinated care and support is delivered to tenants to enable independent living. You will promote and enable wellbeing activities within the scheme for both residents and other older people living in the local neighbourhood. You will also assist to maintain cover at all schemes in the Market Harborough/Leicestershire area as and when required.
Some duties that will be covered will be to monitor the general wellbeing of each resident on a daily basis and respond as necessary to issues or concerns and maintain a daily report log. You will work with colleagues and contractors to ensure that repairs and maintenance work and cleaning and grounds work in the communal areas are carried out as necessary and according to the specification. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security and safety of the scheme, including implementing fire and first aid procedures, management of door entry systems and testing of equipment. You will assist with the management and re-letting of void properties including home visits, accompanied viewings and tenancy sign ups. You will also ensure tenants are aware of any rent arrears they are responsible for and offer advice and support when visiting.
To fulfil this role, they are looking for a person with who is educated to GCSE level or equivalent and experience of working with older people in sheltered housing, housing management, residential care, home care, social services or health services. You will have worked with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to secure and coordinate care and support for older people. And experience of organising and encouraging a range of social and leisure activities.
As you will be required to attend other schemes or attend the Group offices, it is essential that you have a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations.
