Plant Manager to provide tactical and strategic leadership of manufacturing activities, drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. With 25-30 employees, in business since 1975, we manufacture world-class, high-precision, high-production metal-cutting equipment. Selling into aerospace, automotive, and metal service center industries to name a few. Responsibilities: Plan, organize and run day to day operations of production process Establish work flow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety and integrity Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping Facilitate plant improvement efforts such as 5-S, Safety and product flow Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives Recruit, manage and develop plant staff Commit to plant safety procedures Requirements: Mechanical aptitude and proven technical expertise Position can entail lifting and carrying of items; must be able to lift 50 lbs. Working knowledge of OSHA Regulations Ability to coach and mentor employees on one on one basis as well as a group Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required Computer literate, proficiency with MS Word and Excel is required Well-developed interpersonal skills Able to handle high stress situations and work independently Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills Benefits: Competitive salary Bonuses Profit Sharing Competitive Medical Benefits
