Salary: Grade 9 £29,017 - Grade 11 £42,122 (includes a market supplement of up to £3120) depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent, full-time and part-time

Can you make a difference to our most vulnerable children?
Here in West Sussex we are changing how we do things and are creating a dedicated Children Looked After service. We are looking to recruit social workers with a passion for making a difference to our children looked after, alongside an interest and experience of the adoption process. With a focus on outcomes based care planning for children, including access to an in-house therapeutic assessment and intervention team, you will enjoy working with young children and/or teenagers to support them to achieve and plan to build their lives as young adults ready to leave care and live independently.
You will be able to build positive working relationships with children and young people, professionals, partner agencies and carers as well as respectfully challenge when appropriate. You will have an excellent understanding of the statutory requirements relating to children looked after and keeping children safe. Signs of Safety is our practice framework and you will be committed to developing your practice using this framework.
What we offer:
- Small teams of social workers, managed by a Practice Manager and supported by Advanced Practitioners
- Group supervision and peer learning, supported by the Principle Social Worker
- A minimum of 5 CPD and training days per year, with access to excellent learning and development provision
- Posts may be eligible for relocation allowance subject to conditions.
