Who we are Our team conducts investigative research for clients seeking to mitigate the risks associated with third parties, commercial partners and other business relationships. By accessing public record information and undertaking discreet source enquiries, we provide clients with the information they need to make strategic business decisions. Who are we looking for? We are looking for individuals who have an aptitude for research, an investigative and sceptical mind-set, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. We envisage that the role will be largely research focused, although successful candidates will also be required to assist with administrative duties. Candidates should also be prepared to travel as some of our opportunities can require team members to work at client site from Monday to Friday. We would welcome applicants who are recent graduates. About the roles Successful applicants will work within our Intelligence centre of Excellence, based in Belfast, helping clients manage the risks around third party relationships and acquisition targets. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to Research of public domain information in one or more languages including research of corporate registers, media databases, litigation records and other open source material; Management and tasking of third parties making human source enquiries; Report drafting; Marketing or business development tasks such as proposal writing, creation of marketing material, background research and lead generation; and Various ad hoc administrative tasks as required - for example, scanning and archiving. More about our clients The Intelligence team has clients across the globe from multiple industries including financial services, aerospace & defence, construction, education, pharmaceutical, energy, technology and consumer goods. Where will you be based? Projects will be mainly carried out at PwC's Belfast office, although you may be required to travel to client sites (across the UK and sometimes global client sites) or PwC UK offices for training. We will discuss these requirements with you in advance of starting a project. Requirements Applicants should meet the following requirements: Qualifications • Degree or postgraduate qualification, though candidates without degrees will also be considered if they demonstrate relevant experience (minimum of two years relevant experience). Essential Experience 2.1 Degree or postgraduate qualification Research background or education in a research-related discipline, e.g. Law, History, Politics, International Relations, Criminology and/or Economics; Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and Excellent report writing skills. Desirable Experience / Skills Second language (fluent or advanced) Although the team has no specific language requirements at present the Intelligence team is mostly bi-lingual and Applicants who can translate and conduct research in a second (on top of English) language would be desirable.
