About the role
The primary purpose of this post is to manage all maintenance services within their portfolio regions. Surveyors may be assigned major works and cyclical programmes to deliver. They may also be allocated a geographical patch that is aligned to housing neighbourhood officers, where they will occasionally survey empty properties and be responsible for surveying repairs that have been requested by customers, including undertaking post inspections. The surveyor will also need to identify all communal repairs ensuring these are managed through to completion.
The successful applicant will have a HNC or HND in a building related discipline and
experience of managing planned maintenance programmes, carrying out structural
surveys/dilapidation surveys and converting them to reports and work schedules.
They will also have the ability to convert those reports to undertake refurbishment works.
The successful applicant should have a working knowledge of the current building regulations and understanding of construction methods, as well as ability to balance and meet deadlines using a range of oral and written skills appropriate.
