Project Manager required to be based in Carlisle with competitive salary & benefits.
A Fantastic opportunity to join Bendalls Engineering, part of Carr's Engineering Ltd, a market leading Design and Manufacturing business offering bespoke and high integrity products to a diverse customer base in the oil and gas, nuclear and pharmaceutical industries, both in the UK and Overseas.

The Project Manager Role includes:

To manage the delivery of Project scopes to the satisfaction of the client and the business whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance, communications, delivery and financial return across all disciplines within the business. To co-ordinate internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects. To ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget whilst exceeding customer expectations. Emphasis on understanding and implementation of NEC3 contracts - Target cost. Delivery of projects with tight control on SPI and CPI.

The successful Project Manager skills and experience will include:

Ideally, you will have a background in engineering, manufacturing, capable in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

To demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
Good working knowledge of NEC3; Project Management
To have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
To develop detailed project plans to track and report on progress
To use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
To measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
To develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
To be able provide commercial input and challenge to benefit Bendalls
To work as a business partner within a variety of management teams adding value and support
To create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Ensure team members have a clear understanding of what is required and meet the required performance standards
To delegate work effectively ensuring that customer service commitments are met
To lead with understanding and clarity
To deliver excellent customer service to customers (both internal and external) by understanding their needs, providing recommendations with integrity and delivering first rate solutions
To own and resolve customer problems as soon as possible
To ensure that jobs are completed to the required standards/specifications on time and within costs
The ability to focus on project cost, understanding the impact of all actions on the business
Drive improved performance across the business units
Identify results, trends and financial forecasts
To perform risk management to minimise project risks
Report to the CD with timely and accurate information, providing insight into business performance
To ensure that all policies and procedures in respect of Security and Health & Safety are adhered to, provide a safe and secure environment for employees and customers
