Our client is looking for an experienced, flexible, confident senior statistician with a publications track record to match. You will have handled complex data sets and analysis in either the public or private sector and ideally can provide evidence of your ability to support and lead successful cross-organisational statistical projects and strategic development. You will possess extensive experience in applied health and or social research statistics and mixed method studies, with specialisms in quantitative research and statistical analysis, a solid understanding of how research is used by and translated for policy and practice audiences and a desire to act as a bridge between research and policy.

The ideal candidate will have degree in a relevant discipline such as statistics. You will also possess superior argumentation skills, with the ability to develop robust academic arguments, and to communicate them persuasively to a diverse set of audiences using evidence. Above all, they are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference, and is keen to contribute their skills, energy and creativity as part of talented, growing team.

Our client nas set out their vision for a new model of professional regulation in dentistry, which focuses on protecting the public and relies heavily on research and intelligence. To support that vision, they are developing a new research and intelligence strategy, and establishing a new team to deliver it. You will play a key role in supporting the head of intelligence to develop internal networks to understand the sector and the regulatory environment and establish an evidence base for policy development, business planning and wider corporate development. Working with colleagues from across the organisation, you will play a lead role in developing longer term capability in relation to data, evidence and research.
