Post: Equality & Diversity Project Support Officer

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days) - Flexible working options will be considered

Term: Fixed Term Contract or Secondment until 30 July 2021

Salary: Grade P3 - Starting Salary £30,195 (pro-rata if part-time)

Based at: Nottinghamshire Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner, Arnot Hill House, Arnold, Nottinghamshire

An opportunity has arisen within the Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for a 3 day part-time post, Equality & Diversity Project Support Officer on a fixed term contract until 30 July 2021.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead, co-ordinate and manage projects that will support the Commissioner's equality and diversity priorities, statutory duties and scrutiny responsibilities. You will be required to engage, co-produce and build trust and confidence with diverse communities.

You must hold a degree or similar level of qualification, knowledge and experience in connection with equality, diversity and Human Rights legislation issues and be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to these areas.

You must be able to use IT packages (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and specialist software packages) in order to research, analyse and write reports; have experience of benchmarking or working with national standards and frameworks relating to equality, diversity and human rights in order to understand and evidence findings (e.g. any disparity with BAME communities such as stop and search) through effective communication including undertaking presentations of complex information.
