OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT ROLES CATHEDRAL AND CATHEDRAL CENTRE, SALFORD

What we're looking for:

The Diocese of Salford is seeking to recruit candidates for a variety of posts to support the ongoing management, operations and maintenance across the Cathedral Church, Cathedral House and Cathedral Centre, Salford.

These are new or adapted roles to create a unified and integrated team, under the leadership of the Operations and Events Manager, to create and maintain a consistently high standard of support and hospitality to the various clergy, staff and visitors across the whole Cathedral campus.

Role Available:

Operations and Events Manager (x 1 - full-time, 35 hours per week, competitive salary and benefits)

Reporting to the Cathedral Dean and the Director of Administration and Personnel, this is a newly created post to provide appropriate leadership and management support for all areas of operational management (including housekeeping, facilities maintenance and catering services) across the entire campus.

The post-holder will ensure the highest standards of safety and hospitality both for the day-to-day operation of the facilities and for special events and meetings which routinely take place across the campus. Leading the team of operational, housekeeping and maintenance staff will require a highly organised, well-motivated and dynamic individual with a flexible and 'can-do' approach. They will be able to quickly establish effective working relationships and bring focus to a broad team to enable the efficient achievement of key objectives.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative. They will work as part of a team providing support to the overall needs of the Cathedral campus to ensure the highest standards of cleaning and housekeeping. Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of Health and Safety within cleaning and support services are essential.
