About the job

We are actively recruiting for a Senior Security Consultant - Threat Modelling to work in our Threat Advisory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining robust technical countermeasures in response to changes in the cyber risk landscape. The candidate will combine an ability to think like an attacker with a rigorous approach to identifying the most effective countermeasures for example through hunts, decoys, detection analytics or technical policy controls.

This role can be delivered remotely, however our preference would be for candidates to be based near or be willing to travel to, our Edinburgh and London sites. Due to the nature of consultancy, occasional travel will be expected'

What you'll do

  • Responsible for the delivery of key services within Adarmas clients while also executing the end-to-end Threat Modelling Service for Adarmas clients.
  • Input to the cyber threat management strategy by recommending remediation actions for longer term risk reduction.
  • Employ threat intelligence analysis to anticipate, identify and prioritise threats.
  • Provide advice and guidance around IT Cyber Security industry related best practice to our clients.
  • Develop SLA's to assure the highest levels of performance ensuring agility to adapt to the changing threat landscape and technologies.
  • Shape, build and implement related processes and procedures for effective threat modelling capability.
  • Provide consultancy on the mapping of threats, controls and procedures against audit points and facilitate timely completion of agreed corrective actions.
  • Manage and influence a diverse group of cross-divisional stakeholders as required to deliver the Threat Modelling service.
  • Act as an SME on threat intelligence sources, emerging and existing threats.

How you'll grow

The natural progression for someone who has been at this level for approximately 3+ years would be to Managing Consultant level. You could also progress to a Senior Engineer role if your preference is to focus on utilising your technical skills and knowledge.

What you'll bring

  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and organised manner
  • Knowledge of network security architecture concept
  • Exposed to threat modelling approaches and knowledge frameworks: STRIDE, IDDIL/ATC, ATT&CK, Kill Chain, ODNI CTF (Cyber Threat Framework).
  • Experiences around SIEM tools (eg Splunk)
  • CISSP Certified
