IT Infrastructure Business Analyst

Location: Remote (UK)

Duration: 6 months

POSITION

  • The programme is related to a carve out of infrastructure as part of an M&A initiative
  • As part of a broader programme team, the current infrastructure and environments need to be prepared for the entity to be migrated and associated change cutovers implemented to handover to a new ownership
  • This programme is considered a critical initiative with senior sponsorship and exposure
  • The programme is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the engagement

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse CMDB and other inventory extracts to identify project-impacted IT service owners
  • Manage and track engagement with IT service owners with view end-to-end life cycle activities (eg requirements gathering, updates, cutovers, etc.)
  • Facilitate, collect, and challenge business requirements by facilitating requirements workshops and/or Agile Scrum ceremonies
  • Elicit and refine business needs into functional and non-functional requirements by working closely with the programme technical team(s)
  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications, of proposed applications of technology to service operations
  • Collaborate with other Business Analysts and Project Managers on backlogs and RAID items to prioritise pipeline of activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience working as a Business Analyst on large, complex IT infrastructure programmes
  • Demonstrable experience within large organisations within a regulated industry (eg Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals or Telecommunications)
  • Hands-on experience with IT M&A-based projects beneficial
  • Proven problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure, approach work methodically and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • An ability to become familiar with complex business and technology domains quickly
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team across levels, regions, and functions, with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives
  • Extremely proficient with project management tools and software (eg Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project Plan, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, verbally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative and actionable manner
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Experience building strong relationships with collaborators across an organisation and external partners
