Experience in successfully managing all accounting functions in a small company environment and collaboratively interacting with all levels of management is key as you handle diverse problems and issues with limited resources. You will manage daily accounting operations, establish and implement proper accounting methods and policies, analyze accounting data and produce timely reports. You will also be responsible for order entry, A/R and collections, A/P and payments, sales commissions, general ledger functions, month end and year closings, cash receipts, payroll, check runs, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of records and files. Prior experience with GAAP, QuickBooks, Paychex and advanced Excel skills in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills is essential.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BS or BBA in Accounting required, CPA a plus
- General Ledger experience required (QuickBooks experience preferred)
- 8-10+ years corporate accounting experience including small companies.
- Strong emphasis on anticipating issues, ensure data integrity and accuracy of details while being capable of higher level interpretation and explanation
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize effectively and be able to use methodical approaches to complex problems/issues
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure to produce accurate results
- Resourcefulness in accomplishing objectives and completing tasks
- Working knowledge of PC based software (advanced MS Excel skills)
- Build and maintain professional relationships
