Senior Officer - pay band 8 (£30,012 - £37,812)
Based in Bristol Created in 2018, the Office for Students (OfS) is the new independent regulator for higher education (HE) in England with responsibility for ensuring that HE is delivering positive outcomes for past, present and future students and that all students, whatever their background, have a fulfilling HE experience that enriches their lives and careers.

The Teaching Excellence and Student Experience (TESE) directorate within the OfS is responsible for:
-the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF); -funding for universities and colleges;
-student welfare and safeguarding; -the protection of student interests in the event of a provider or campus closure. We have roles available in the TEF team which is expanding this year.
The TEF promotes excellence in teaching and informs future students choices and the roles involve working collaboratively with student representatives, the Department for Education, sector and employer agencies and senior academics as well as internal teams. Key attributes for the roles include:
-An ability to quickly develop specialist knowledge and provide expert advice to others -Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex quantitative and qualitative data -A collaborative and flexible approach to team working
-An ability to work autonomously, managing competing demands -An appetite for problem-solving and developing new processes -Keen attention to detail while also appreciating the strategic picture
-A professional approach to engaging and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking staff for this role at both Senior Officer and Officer level.
Appointment at the higher level is dependent on skills and experience. We will consider you for both levels unless you indicate otherwise in your application.
