Description

You will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for the full design lifecycle of specialist pressure equipment for bespoke and standard product ranges.

The Pressure Equipment Design Engineer will:

  • Use SolidWorks to model pressure equipment such as pressure vessels and associated ancillary equipment
  • Understand and apply the appropriate pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and other legislation related to pressure
  • Drive product through development lifecycle including design for manufacture (DfM) and failure modes effects analysis (FMEA)

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, enthusiastic and adaptable design engineer. Forming part of a small, tight-knit team you will be comfortable working with peers and senior members of staff, as well as liaising directly with manufacturing operatives

The ideal Pressure Equipment Design Engineer will:

  • Hold a degree qualification in mechanical or design engineering
  • Be highly competent with SolidWorks, ideally holding a professional qualification (i.e SolidWorks assciociate etc)
  • Have designed equipment, ideally pressure vessels, in accordance with the PED.
