QA Production Operative
£22,725 plus £1,000 location allowance and excellent benefits
Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes
At FCO Services, we keep information, assets and people safe all around the world. Secure Conference Rooms is a growing area of our business, providing government customers with rooms that ensure no information is able to leak out.
Join the team, in this critical Quality Assurance (QA) role, and you can play a key part in enabling high-level classified conversations to take place in environments around the world.
Make sure every room is perfectly secure
In this critical production team role, you'll focus on the QA and packing of Secure Conference Rooms prior to them being delivered to customer locations in kit form. You'll be trained to perform a variety of QA duties, including checking component dimensions, maintaining packing lists, and preparing/packing components prior to dispatch. You'll also provide general support to the production team by helping to move goods in and out and by working in other workshops at peak times.
Put your practical skills to good use
This is a hands-on role that requires a good level of physical fitness as manual handling is a big part of the role. This role calls for someone who is practically minded and good using tools. For example, you will often have to cut or trim components to size during packing or fix any imperfections you find in the QA process. You may well have a background in logistics or warehouse work, or in the installation of UPVC windows or similar. We will also be looking for experience using a wide range of practical skills, such as in carpentry or electrical or mechanical engineering.
And take your career further and further
Our customers, who include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, look to us to respond with speed, agility and innovation to their ever-changing security challenges. It makes every role here critical, yours included. It also makes it a great environment in which to develop your career, as you can get training and experience in a broad range of areas including locks, electronics, metals and wood.
All our employees have to be security cleared so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
Closing date: 17th February 2019.
