My Client is a main contractor based out of the Midlands that specialize in design and build projects within the office and commercial sector.
They are currently looking for a Permanent Project/Contracts Manager due to growth within the business.The candidate will be overseeing office projects within the Midlands however sometimes the work is out of the midlands so the candidate must have an open mind about travelling. Jobs are typically Design & Build and range from £50k-£2m.The candidate will be in the office 2-3 days a week and the rest will be spent on site. The Candidate will either run 2-3 projects at once valued between £50,000-£400k or 1 project at a time valued at around £2m.
Duties will entail, running the full job from start to finish, overseeing procurement and the commercial side of things (Must be commercially aware-they will have a Quantity Surveyor but must be able to do it themselves as well) Place orders, check the drawings, oversee and update details of the job and progress reports. He would like them to have experience running office projects to the value of £500-£600k.
Salary will range from £50,000-£55,000+car or allowance. The candidate will ideally reside within an hour of the office so they are able to commute their 2-3 days a week.
Must- Have 3/4 years experience at Contracts Manager level
Must-Have fit out/design and build experience within the office/commercial sector
Must-Be commercially aware.
