Contract Officer

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Contracts managers to ensure the successful delivery of contracting and performance management functions. The post-holder will be responsible to monitor and analyse performance within the contractual and performance framework. The post holder will have overall responsibility for maintaining the provider lists for all relevant CCGs ensuring all the relevant checks are undertaken.

Travel meetings in other sites every week. Expenses can be paid.

Job duties:

Assist the contracts coordinator in coordinating regular contract reviews, supporting implementation of any action plans identified with providers in relation to poor contract performance

To assist in the collation and analysis of information to highlight contractual and performance issues

Undertake compliance of providers with regulatory requirements, as well as the contractual agreement.

Carry out contractual and performance management processes such as regular contract reviews across the CCG portfolio for services commissioned.

Keep informed of any changes to relevant national and policies and guidance

Requirement to work flexibly across Pods (as and when the need arises) in situations not limited to absence cover, project work, covering maternity leave etc

The post holder is required to follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in their work and take responsibility for maintaining their personal training in the use of SOPs as part of their annual training and development plan

Key skills:

* Experience in administration and policy development in a complex area of business.

* Evidence of success in efficient and effective project support

* Experience of drafting correspondence including letters, reports, minutes to a high standard

* Committed to accuracy and efficiency

* Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
