The desired English Teacher will be expected to teach English to pupils in Key Stage Three (KS3) and Key Stage Four (KS4) along with a second subject. Your role will include actively improving progress and raising attainment in English at all levels. You will be expected to work as part of motivational team of staff and aim to really inspire pupils to love English through outstanding and motivational teaching techniques. Consequently, it's important that you have ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of the students you're supporting and work in collaboration with other members of staff, parents/careers and the wider community.
To be considered for the position as an English Teacher, you must:
Have experience teaching children and young people with a range of needs.
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - (although applications from Unqualified English Teachers with experience of teaching the subject are encouraged to also apply)
Have experience of teaching inspiring English lessons to pupils in Key Stage Three (KS3) and Key Stage Four (KS4), including to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Have a strong passion for teaching, with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
Have a genuine desire to become part of committed team
Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are welcome and encouraged to apply for this English Teacher position, as well as those from Unqualified Teachers with at least 1 years' experience teaching English.
